Installing the timer app on mobile devices

The Hubstaff time tracking app is available for both Android and iOS devices. To install the app on either of the two operating systems, please follow the instructions below:

 

Install Hubstaff on Android

Step 1

Open the Google Play Store app.

Step 2

On the search bar, type Hubstaff, then tap on the Hubstaff app that shows in the search results.

Step 3

Tap the Install button and the installation process will start.

After downloading and installing the app on your phone, you can start tracking your time on your Android device while on the go.

Step 4

Open the application for you to log in, or sign up for an account in case you haven’t created an account yet.

After it has finished downloading and has been installed on your phone, you can now start tracking your time on your Android device while on the move.

Step 5

To start tracking time, tap on the Project/work orders button and then select a project/task that is assigned to you from the list. Then, tap on the Play button.

Install Hubstaff on iOS

Step 1

Tap on the App Store app.

Step 2

Tap the search icon then type Hubstaff into the search bar. Tap the GET button to start the download and install process.

After downloading and installing the app on your phone, you can start tracking your time on your iOS device while on the go.

Step 3

Open the application for you to log in, or sign up for an account in case you haven’t created an account yet.

Step 4

To start tracking time, tap on the Project/work orders button and then select a project/task that is assigned to you from the list. Then, tap on the Play button.

Your manager can set up projects and/or tasks and give you access to a certain number (or all) of them. When you open the application and log in, you’ll be presented with any number of projects or tasks to select. You should always select the project/task that you are currently working on. These projects/tasks will be reflected in your reports in the Hubstaff web interface.

It may be a good idea to inform your manager that you have successfully installed and activated your Hubstaff iOS application so they can confirm that everything is working correctly.

The number of projects that you’ll see will depend on how many projects are assigned to you. The application fetches the data from the organization every 10 minutes.
Note: Due to the limitations placed by mobile providers, the app can only track time and locations and does not have the capability to record screenshots as well as activity levels. To learn more about our mobile app features, please click here.
