Hubstaff MCP Server

What is it?

The Hubstaff Model Context Protocol (MCP) server allows AI assistants and other MCP-compatible clients to access and read data from the Hubstaff workspace securely. Once connected, you can ask questions about your organization, team members, projects, and time or activity data, and receive responses based on your current Hubstaff information.

The MCP server is read-only, meaning it can retrieve data but cannot create, modify, or delete any information in your account.

Who can use it?

This feature is available to owners and managers of active Hubstaff organizations. After signing in with your Hubstaff account, the connected AI assistant can access only the organizations where you have an owner or manager role.

What can it access?

After authorization, the MCP server can access the following information within your organization:

  • Organizations
  • Team members
  • Projects and tasks
  • Daily activity summaries
  • Detailed time and activity data

The MCP server can access only the organizations you own or manage, and only after you approve the connection.

How to connect

The Hubstaff MCP server works with AI clients that support the Model Context Protocol. To connect, add Hubstaff as a data source or connector in your MCP-compatible client, then complete the secure Hubstaff sign-in process.

Hubstaff protects your credentials throughout the authorization process and never shares your passwords or API keys with the AI assistant.
