How to add notes from the Android app

In Hubstaff, it is possible to add notes to your timesheets directly from our Android app.

How to add a note from the Android app

Step 1

Tap the Notes icon (which resembles a pencil and pad) from the upper right-hand side of the screen.

Hubstaff ties notes to specific segments of activity, so you must be tracking time in order to write a note. Otherwise, the icon will be grayed out.

Step 2

Type the note you wish to add and tap “Send” to create the note.

Where to view notes in the web app

Notes will appear in various sections of your web app.

Time & Activities Report

Step 1

Navigate to the Reports (1) section from the left sidebar, then click on Time & activities (2) to view the report.

Please ensure the notes column is enabled by clicking on the the gear icon and selecting Notes.

Activity section

Step 1

Navigate to the Activity > Screenshots (1) section from the left sidebar. Click on the Notes icon that resembles a pencil and pad.

Step 2

A pop up window will appear that will display previously added notes.

Timesheets section

Daily

Step 1

Navigate to the Timesheets > Daily (1) section from the left sidebar. Notes will appear in the second column from the left (2) as shown below.

Calendar

Step 1

Navigate to the Timesheets > Calendar (1) section from the left sidebar.

Step 2

Click on the relevant block of time (1) you wish to view notes for. A pop up window will appear displaying the notes (2) you have added previously.
