Getting Started Menu

Welcome to Hubstaff! This guide is specially designed for new users.

We’ve added a new Get started guide for new users, to ease your transition to Hubstaff. This is available for newly opened organizations. This appears at the top of every page until it’s completed, and shows a progress bar. When minimized, it still shows a thin blue bar at the top of all pages for easy access.

 

Create a project

Step 1

On the Get started menu, click on the Create project option.

Step 2

A new project window will pop-up. Add the project name, assign users, billability of the project and then click Save.

The following information is optional (Team and Client).

Tracking time

Step 1

On the Get started menu, click on the Tracking time option.

Step 2

The following options will be available.

A. Download desktop applications (Mac, Windows, Linux, Chromebook).

B. Download Browser applications (Chrome extension).

C. Download Mobile applications (IOS and Android).

D. Use the Web timer and Add time manually using the User portal page.

The Tracking time item will only be completed (strikethrough) once the user tracks time.

Adjust settings

Step 1

On the Get started menu, click on the Adjust settings option.

On the pop-over page, the basic Activity and Organization settings can be adjusted.

Step 2

To view all settings, click on the View all settings button. This will open the setting page in full.

Invite your team

Step 1

On the Get started menu, click on the Invite your team option.

On the pop-over page, you are able to add the email addresses of the users that you want to invite.

You can assign their designations once they accept the invite.

View reports

Step 1

On the Get started menu, click on the View reports option.

To open the available reports, click on the View reports button and you will be taken to the All Reports page.

Choose a plan

Step 1

On the Get started menu, click on the Choose a plan option.

Step 2

After chicking the choose a plan option, you will be taken to billing and subscription page.

You can choose the plan that you want to sign up for here.

You can check the plan comparisons here- Basic, Premium, Enterprise

Once the plan is selected and the 6 get started items are completed the Get started pop up page will automatically close.

 

Hide and Show options of the Get started pop-up page

Step 1

To hide the Getting started pop-up page, click on the Hide steps button.

Step 2

To show the Getting started pop-up page, click on the Show steps button.
