Can’t connect to Hubstaff when using a proxy connection.

Question:

So when will you make it work behind a proxy? My staff works behind a proxy all the time.

Answer:

Our developers are discussing how to get proper proxy detection on Windows, however, this is at an early stage of testing and we can’t provide you with a definite ETA at this point, unfortunately. They mentioned that a potential workaround is to set the environment variable https_proxy on your system as the Hubstaff client will pick that up and that should work depending on what proxy you are using.

Here is one site that shows how to set environment variables in windows (you may want to Google some other ones).

Basically you need to create a user environment variable of https_proxy (all lowercase) with a value like this: http://192.168.4.1:3128/ . Change the IP and port to what yours needs to be.   You may need to log out and back in for the environment variable to take effect.
